Backburner: Midsummer food festivals around the Wasatch Front

It’s midsummer, which means we’re heading into peak food festival season in Utah. Sadly, our snowless winter and April freeze means zero Utah-grown peaches, pears or cherries at our OG harvest fests. But there are plenty of other food events to hit, including fests centered around delicious produce that survived the frost because it doesn’t grow on trees.
On Aug. 1, St. Bernard’s (12000 Big Cottonwood Canyon Rd, Building 5, Suite B, Brighton) kicks off its Dinner & Wine Pairing series at Solitude Resort with a “Harvest Dinner” focused on seasonal fruits and vegetables.
