The band had a habit of dropping an album and then kind of disappearing for a while, leaving you wondering when they’d pop up again. Creative differences and band member changes were a factor in the long spans of time between tours and new music.
There were of course tons of shows after their iconic album Fallen released in 2003, and after their smash-hit follow-up The Open Door in 2006. When their self-titled 2011 album came out, they did a lot of touring then, but things fell off in the late 2010s.
