Banning fireworks was a good start, but Gov. Cox should call up the National Guard to battle blazes.

As of this writing, there are several active wildfires burning across Utah and we have the sad distinction of being home to the largest active forest fire in the country, as tens of thousands of acres burn in the Cottonwood Fire in Beaver County. Although the capital city has had a week of pretty clear skies, our hearts go out to our fellow Utahns who have had to evacuate and those who have lost property and livestock to the flames.
Gov. Spencer Cox banned fireworks in the state last month. But am I the only one asking why he doesn’t call out the National Guard to help in the battle?
