“ Playing Hooky ,” June 11 Opinion Where are the parents of Matt Pacenza’s privileged children who allowed them to attend school part-time—and who are proud of it? Why is Pacenza ranting now, after he and his children will no longer suffer the consequences he so piously advocates for?
The direct fault for low school attendance is the parents. It is not educators who fail to impose consequences. It is not progressive ideologues sitting in comfy offices devising solutions that are out of touch with school resources.
